Laura Secord is a Canadian company established in 1913. It was founded by Frank P. O'Connor, who was a politician, businessman and philanthropist. What about the name of the store, it comes from a Canadian heroine of the the War of 1812 - Laura Secord, who walked 20 miles out of American-occupied territory to warn British forces of an American attack.
